This week it’s all about Valentine’s day, don’t you think, dear Not Perfect Housewives. The heart shaped things – cookies, ballons, DIY gift ideas etc., are all around. I can’t skip the Valentine’s day fever either.
I’m excited, because this year the day will be really special. Me and my husband are going to Milan. I can’t wait. We’re planing to spend the weekend in nice cozy apartment in Milan, see the Duomo, go for a walk, do a little shopping, have an Italian meal… It will be great, can’t wait.
Except of Milan, there are a lot of lovely cities I’d love to visit. That’s why I decided to make a list of the most romantic cities I’d love to go to with my man. Here they are:
Rome
There’s something about Italy that makes it so warm, lovely and special. And Rome is live the center of the world. There’s so many history in this city. There are also plenty of tourists, yes. This makes visiting the city a bit annoying, but wait until the night comes. It’s just another city. It’s quite and shiny. It’s gorgeous. It’s romantic! Holding hands with your beloved person near the Colloseo or near anywhere else in this fantastic city is just gorgeous!
P.S. If you want to have a better idea of what I’m talking about, watch the movie The Great Beauty. It’s the ultimate Rome movie!
New York
If you have watched Sex and the City, you know what I’m talking about. For Carrie New York is like a lover. It’s big, charming, sometimes messy or angry, but always there for you. Manhattan, Central Park, Soho, Brouklin. You can see and experience everything in New York. It’s not cozy, but powerful. There’s something about the city that makes me fall in love with it, even if I’ve never been there.
And Carrie movies to Paris with her boyfriend, but Mr. Big brings her back. Because big love is in the big city. New York, New York.
Paris
Many people will find Carry extremely stupid to leave Paris. Because it’s one of the most romantic cities in the world too. It’s the ultimate “romantic city” cliché, but you should visit it at least once in your life. You should have your “Romeo and Juliet” fairy tale (but one with a happy end:)). Just think about all the lovers that have been to this city. And it keeps all this positive energie. Go, and take some of it.
Lisbon
Last night I finished the novel The night in Lisbon by Erich Maria Remarque. It’s about a love affair in the begging of World War II. May be because of this I decided Lisbon is one of the most romantic cities in the world. Every step you take you see a breath taking view. The European capital of Romanticism – Sintra is nearby and the medieval village of Obidos which was once a wedding present from a king to his queen. So, go there and feel like a queen and king too!
Buenos Aires
People dancing Tango in the street… Buenos Aires is may be the most passionate city in the world. There’s a mix between Latin American seduction and European elegance. It’s the perfect place to provoke passion in long relationships… or to start a new one. It’s a place to discover with your lover. Drink cocktails, dance and forget about everything.
I hope my list was helpful for those of you how still don’t have Valentine’s day plans. Travel and Love. XoXo.
